By The Numbers - part the ninety fifth

Hate filled, Petty, Paranoid, Demented, Dictator Don has announced that he's going to invade (Blue) cities with troops. Can't have any crime in cities, now can we?

More than once, in these missives, the point has been offered that the Red states, being land of morons, will never be able to produce the stuff that the Blue cities have been doing since before the USofA was constituted. Killing the geese that lay the golden eggs. MAGAmorons.

Here's the list of Nobels by top 50 universities. It's as of 2023, but not likely to change much.

Of the 50, 10 are in Red states. And, no surprise, all are in good sized cities; not in shithole land. I wonder if the Marines will be sent to them?

21. Washington University (Missouri, so iffy)
26. Case Western (Ohio, so iffy)
27. Duke (well, ok)
31. Texas (well, ok)
37. UNC, Chapel Hill (iffy, that's Research Triangle)
38. UVA (well, ok)
40. Texas A&M (well, ok; but Vernon Smith is one. ick)
41. Vanderbilt (well, ok)
45. University of Miami (!!!)
48. Florida State (!!! read the caveat)

Here's a more complex list, which allows you to track Nobels by: year range, alumni/prof, category. So, for example, physics 1990 to 2024, just prof is almost all Blue. It's difficult to judge, since the list is global and the numbering is by number of Nobels, so lots of ties up to the 41^st. A scan comes up with 3 Red state entries. May be.
